100th Post

Well this is the 100th post since the blog started last year in May! I can't believe I have been blogging since May last year that insane it doesn't feel that long at all. Anyway back to everyday stuff.

So I thought for this post I would talk about one of my favourite things....shoes.....flats to be more accurate! But before I do I have to tell you about the steal of the century I picked up on Trade Me. A Genuine Christian Dior Handbag it was soooooooooooo cute and I got at the most amazing price.

3 Days To Go

Yes thats right the countdown is almost finished. Lots of getting ready this week and getting packed up etc. I can't believe how much stuff I am taking with me!

I have saw lots of photos on blogs etc of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style event and I have to say I think Paris Hilton looked really nice.... I know I have a soft spot for Paris Hilton and I always think she looks fab but I really like this look....

Looking forward to taking lots of picture over the next week I have promised lots of pictures of my new dorm room and the road trip up there so I will definatly have them up by next weekend.

Icons and Idols

The death of Anna Nicole Smith got me to thinking don't know how but for some reason I decided to do a post about my (celeb) idols for fashion, persona, etc. These are who I came up with, a mixed bunch for sure but for different reasons each of these women interest me either because of their fashion sense or for their personality etc. Some are now dead (e.g Monroe and Jackie O.) some aren't even real people (e.g Elle Woods from Legally Blonde and Charlotte from Sex and the City) some may seem a tad unusual (e.g Carmen Electra and Paris Hilton) but all of the influence me I guess.... Well in the end I didn't get the retro shoes (see previous post) however a few weeks back I bought these wee polka dot cuties so I thought I would share them with you instead. Only 30 days till I leave for University - very excited. Amy has been very naughty and has not posted in months however I have been keeping in touch with her via txt, letter and of course phone and she's up in Auckland at the moment. So Pink Cupcakes has pretty much become a one-girl-show!

I got my jeans in the post yesterday and my pearls today so I am chuffed. I have now ordered a new top for going out in the evening (casual) and also picked up this cute Yellow Polka Dot Bag!

So they should come by the end of the next week sometime. Still got my polka dot wallet to come to. I am also toying with the idea of getting these shoes. I really like them but I am not sure if I would wear them? They are very retro.

Bargins Galore!

I got a great bargin off Trade Me (New Zealand's answer to EBay) last night, these freshwater pearls at $14.50 NZ + Postage. LOVES IT! Haha!

I think that is pretty good if you ask me. I also bought this cute Roxy wallet (off Trade Me) loving the Polka Dots.

Also these are the jeans I got the other day (not Trade Me) but in a darker colour. See tiny picture.

The First 2007 Post

Well its been weeks since I last blogged...because of Christmas and New Year etc. I have been keeping up-to-date with reading other blogs though. I see Preppy Cafe has closed up and I am so upset! It was the first blog I ever read and I checked it religiously. University starts back in only 5 weeks. So I am very excited about that, don't know if I am looking forward to the 6 hour car journey up there (again). I have been shopping like mad for all the things I want for my new (dorm) room. EVERYTHING is pink and green or so it seems. I will take some before and after photos I hope and put them online so everyone can have a laugh about the abuse of pink and green. Haven't been much else recently I bought some new jeans yesterday and other than that everything is for the room or for uni. I did buy a whole new make-up set (mascara, foundation, lipgloss x 2, nail polish x 2) for uni also all of it Natio - love it!
