The Big Snow!

Hi there

First some pictures of the snow I took last week of my baby and my house:

Have not been up to alot but I have to say the ski feilds are taking off! LOTS of people up there!

Next a picture of my latest bag ( the one at the back) but I thought I might take a picture of all my little polka dotty things ( not alot of them but notice they all seem to include pink or brown)!

And finally a picture of my other baby! He's so cold recently poor little Neo!

Anyway that enough pictures! A bow tie! I am definalty going to need a picture now! HAHA! Not much happening down here at the minute still not much on the job front I just cant get started I just feel like Im lagging behind hmm.....

Haven't done to much shopping recently got some new jeans the other day and a really preppy necklase from Portmans other than that not much. I dont know whats up with me and these dvd sets of seasons of tv shows they are so addictive maybe I need something to take up more of my time lol.

Because since moving down here I have watch the entire box set of:

The OC Season 1, The OC Season 2, Sex and the City Season 5, Desperate Housewifes Season 1, House Season 1 and I am currently watching the West Wing Season 4. I also now own House Season 1.

It's getting kind of scary I guess thats what happens when you dont watch ANY tv and yes I mean any as in my tv has no cable and there is no tv in the house that is tuned! Strange but true!

What else...oh its my sisters birthday soon so I sent her a little present nothing big because it costs so much to send back to the UK hmmm I got her some little tshirts in wait for it pink and brown and a very cute kiwi soft toy!

Anyways I better go.

Bow Ties and Donald Duck

Heya Rach,
Lol - was sick the other day so went on the internet (with nothing better to do) and filled out quizzes.
Theres...the colour quiz - aparently i'm an orange person (ahem...yuck!), im the sensitive caring type, i'm most like donald duck and a dog's the pet for me (or a hamster, choosing to ignore that tho!). All in all great fun. Did you're sex and the city quiz too...turns out i'm 73% carrie eh!
Went suit shopping with francis yesterday during lunch, good old sparks, nice suit - but the pattern I (thats right - no choice for Francis there!) chose for the vest came with a....Bow Tie!!! ah wel, it matches and it'l look all good together (a bow tie though - whats the world coming to!?!).
Turns out i'm not going up to dads these hols as originally planned (big drama - mum and dad had a lil tiff lol - easier to explain over the phone) so my next big plan is to guilt-trip for a couple days in Q-twn with you!!!! Wish me luck!
On the subject of the formal (again, sorry, probably boring you!)...there isn't an afterparty! Pretty much the best part of the formal and a week to go one STILL isn't organised. not impressed. Going to get my dress fitted tonight tho...YAY! Stole nana's pearls to go with it this morning, there really pretty, like a silvery blue, you'd like them. Just not sure whether they'll go with the crown that i'm getting tomorrow cos that has lil diamantes on it?! We'll see eh.
On the subject of clothing and all things pretty (cos this post has prob been just a bit on the boring side so far!) what do you reckon of this room decor?

I'm over the blue i think - would look better all pink eh?

Thats about life for me at the mo, super looking foward to the holidays!!!!

New Shoes and Sex and the City!

Good to hear you are still alive! Don't worry about keeping on top of letters/posts I totally remember how busy this time of the year is for you guys! I just have nothing better to do so expect lots from me! At the moment to be truthful I haven't been looking for any job really enjoying staying at home although that will grow old soon! Thinking about enroling for Legal Executive Course at the end of the year....

Anyways glad to hear you have Francis in good order still waiting for my promised picture!

My new other pastime (on the internet) is the Sex and the City website they have this trivia quiz - yeah thats right I got 92%! YEAHA! RL Polos and Letterheads :-)

Sorry its taken ages for me to put up another post - schools just getting the better of me eh... 4 internals at the mo and just started a History one today, so looking foward to the holidays!
Went down to visit the delightful chaps at the Rangiora RSA this arvo and had a great chat lol (the his project is on 2 Rangiora soilders that died in WWII).
Got your letter today - loving the letterhead - did you know that you can now personalise RL polos to have your initials inscripted like that under the pony logo?! Very cool, I went on just to make one :-)
I did the desperate housewife quiz - lol guess who i am...Gabriella / Eva Longoria! (Mum was Bree - had to laugh!).
Yay - desperate housewifes is on tonight...then greys anatomy...then nip/tuck. (so much for oxidation - reduction chem study eh!)
Hows the Job hunt going? What types of firms have you been inquiring about?
I am sooo supa sick of working at postie plus, but my pay will get reviewed in August so will be interesting to see what happens there.
Middle aged woman are such a laugh (i never want to be one) at work they get stressed out about the littliest things, like their lifes revolve around their work, I never wana be like that eh.
Foxys managed to somehow get fleas so isn't allowed inside, I feel super sorry for him all outside in the cold, its barely 1'C here (probably colder in Qtown tho eh?) I've managed to get a flea bite on my hand tho grrr.
2 WEEKS UNTIL THE FORMAL.... got this pretty silvery white material for my shawl thing (but not an old lady type shawl!) this arvo, just need to get it sewed up - AND organise Francis - were going to get him a suit (and a nice tie to match my dress!) on Sunday. I thought it would be cool if he got a tophat, gloves and pimpstick to match, but he wasn't so keen lol.
Thats about it from me, will write back to your letter when I get the chance kk.

Hmm..I have to admit I didn't like the Argyle Shoes! I know I know they are argyle but....I just wasn't loving them! I think it was the colour selection eh! And as for Chloe Bags well dont get me started on them as you know I never did like them so I will skip over that lightly.
My subject for this post is books I know books aren't what we started this blog to talk about but since getting off the phone from you (like 20 minutes ago) and talking about what we were reading I thought I may as well. SO here it is and I advice you (all) read these!

So I've managed to screw my knee again (and not in the shower this time lol) so went into SportsMed in town this morning with Mum, and it ends up that I have very loose, over extended joints (whatever that means!) ....but basically, the docs can't do much for me so it's back to physio and a gym membership for me. Fun Fun.
Thanks for the Winterfest Catalogue - I soooo wana come down now, if i can it would probably be in the second week of the holidays eh.
What type of job did you interview for?
Still no school today, about half a foot of snow on the front lawn, its hard enought to make it out of the driveway (mum's car nearly got stuck by the gate). Aparently the school busses can't run or something like that.
So I'm bored out of my mind, at home, on crutches. Mite do some homework (cos thats always fun!).

DUCK!

Hey there,

Well I went for a Job Interview yesterday and I have to say it was the worst interview I have ever been for! It was horrid - I mean I think they liked me and they seemed happy enough - but my god there is no way in hell I would take that job! Oh my god some people eh! Anyway....after such an ordeal I went shopping of course!

Although I didnt actually end up getting so much. However I didn't manage to find some cute pearl studs that were awfully nice and I bought some Teach Yourself French CDs which I tried to listen to last night!

Other than that not much - went for Subway and came home after all that! However I did promise you a picture of the duck I bought at the weekend! So here it is in all its argyle glory!

Family Shopping Trip (and CCC Trackies!)

So calling cards eh? like the whole "I'll give you my number?!?" they're very preppy and cool, loving it!
Just got back from a shopping trip with Mum, Dan & Em (fun fun) - got my shoes to go with my dress, a little clip to do my hair up 'cos I've decided I'm going to wear it out, ummmm some ccc trackies (gotta love them) and a apple green/grey stripey top from Glassons - You'd love it.
....AND was trying to buy a football top - a Brazil one - but they're all sold out! :-(
Yeh I'll post a pic on here, probably from the formal photos cos its well too much of a mission (and too cold!) to get all undressed into my dress specially. Okey Doakey?!

Good to hear you're feeling better, my knees still playing up, have been trying to walk around with the brace off, especially because Mum keeps threatening to take me to the doctor if it's not better extra soon (...and you know how much I LOVE doctors...Ahem. - except male nurses - they're special!).
