University

Good morning.

Well I applied for
Halls of Residence on Saturday!!! That's right I am going back to study after being away from it for over a year. I am hopefully going to enrol in the Uni Prep Course that they offer for people who have been away from study, it also guarantees you a place in the degree you want the following year. It is only a six month course and starts at the end of Feb and runs through till June/July.

This way I can hopefully enrol in my BA the following year and the the Grap.Dip.Teaching. as I want to be a Primary Teacher.

I am so excited but I have to say the idea of 5 years of study is a tad daunting. But I suppose thats expected after being away from it.

There are four main university's in New Zealand in my opinion (in reality there are about 9) Lincoln, Wellington, Otago and Canterbury. Auckland is a main one but since there is no way in hell I am moving to Auckland to study I will rule that one out.

Lincoln is noted for its Management and Rural Courses and Degrees and for exsessive beer drinking.

Otago is noted for its Medical and Law Courses and Degrees and being the wildest University in New Zealand. Dunedin is a true Student Town.

Wellington is great for Music and lots of other things but its to far away to be bothered.

And Canterbury...ahh...Canterbury is my choice its a tradition University. Don't get my wrong its sees some wild times and all but it kind of reminds me of Oxford or Cambridge.

An Update!

Well...On Monday afternoon we started the drive up to Christchurch with the dog in search of a house. But after three days and over 1200km travelling we did not find a house so here we are back in Queenstown to stay at least for the moment.

It was a beautiful drive up and back down although at 6 hours (approx.) each way it is a long one!

Here are some highlights...

The Blog Must Go On!

The Christchurch Tram in front of The Art Centre

Hello,

I have had a few e-mails asking wither or not the blog will continue when I move back to Christchurch - as you all probably have worked out from our profile we started this blog so that Amy and I could share our latest fashions/purchases etc and generally letting each other know what we were doing as snail mail although great fun was growing a little boring and daily phone calls were expensive when I moved from Christchurch down to Queenstown!
But fear not I think as I am sure we will manage to continue the blogging tradition!
With lots of exciting places and lots of new purchases!
In the meantime enjoy these stunning Dior Pumps I am pining over!

It's Actually AMY!!!!

HEY RACH,
So its been forever since I've been on, at least two weeks. Horrible eh. Schools so damn busy, trying to plough through as much as the internals before I head up to Nelson next Sunday for Tourney - So excited!!! I really like whats been happening with the blog since my short-term departure - the whole ' Weekly Update' thing is an awesome idea... I ESPECIALLY LOVE the Ralph Lauren tennis balls, I want some of those really bad! Wimbledon one day maybe ..... lol.I can't wait till you're coming back, it's so exciting, It's been like 8 months since I've seen you last! It's so sad about Neo though :-(. I'm at home today (doing homework - no such thing as a real day off school), didn't get home until 11 last night - board meeting, decided I was far too tired for school today! Got my very first 'achieved' for the year lol - I was NOT impressed, in algebra. Only 5 people in the class passed though so I supose I can't complain too much!I thought I might run with the pics for the week thing so here are mine right now...
Purchase of the week - New Pencil case (i think its supposed to be a toilet bag, but its so great 'cos it fits everything in so easily and its just so preppy with the spots and all!)

Album im bashing! The Kooks, a very cool English (?!?) group, esp. like the song 'Naive' ....definately worth a listen. Kinda indy / rock, nice and happy - gotta love it!

Cosmetic Product... now you know that I'm not big on wearing makeup, but I've
found something that I absolutely love and pretty much can't live without...Lancome Definicils - stole some from Mum and now I'm practically addicted! It makes eyes look so defined and pretty :-) (aparently its a bit pricey though - according to Mum who now has to buy some more!)

Yeah I can see what you mean about Carmen Electra, shes able to pull off the pretty girl / hot girl thing, I prefer Angelina Jolie, but sometimes her fashion sense just doesn't match up to it! I really liked the pic you had of Lindsay Lohan, heres another one i likes (baby-dolls are just the best!)

And now for the best handbag I have seen in a long time... The Emmey bag by Mulberry, It's kind of like the Chloe Paddington, but just so much better! MUST get my hands on one of these!...

Thats about life for me now... counting down 'til you get bac!Love Amy xox
